The following are links to MRC publications that came out this month. Again, feel free to share them with others who may be interested.
The first link provides the peer-reviewed journal article affiliated with Johns Hopkins: Recognizing the Impact of Medical Reserve Corps Volunteers on the COVID-19 Pandemic Response. In my role as the lead writer, we collaborated with co-authors June Vutrano, Kyle Willman, and Matthew Johnson. We share the credit equally!

The four weekly articles that we submitted to honor September as National Preparedness Month are included in the following issues of The Nursing Beat – for which I’d highly recommend getting a free subscription. The point of this series is to raise awareness of the national Medical Reserve Corps program, linking the MRC with initiatives such as the value of preparedness. Though I’m an EMT and not a nurse, I really savor these daily boosts of great information on patient care and medical updates.
