I. BIKE RODEO
The Town of Tewksbury is holding its third annual bike rodeo on Sunday, June 8 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Stop by to see us at the Tewksbury Memorial High School parking lot, 320 Pleasant Street. The event has grown exponentially each year, now involving hundreds of participants and many corporate sponsors. We'd welcome one more medical volunteer to help with our first aid tent, but are otherwise covered with staffing to promote the MRC and its initiatives. Click here for a Town Crier article that tells you what to expect.

II. RIDE FOR LIV / RUN FOR LIV
Our local MRC unit is now a proud sponsor of the event being hosted next month by the 'Live for Liv' Foundation to reduce domestic violence:

DAY/DATE:
Sunday, July 20
TIME:

10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
PLACE:

4H Fairgrounds
ADDRESS:

TOWN:

Westford, MA 01886

Bike ride and run/walk
WEB SITE:

We're looking for about five medical and five non-medical volunteers to provide staffing. Help is needed with registration, supervision of children's activities, blood pressure screening, and oversight of medical care for those who participate in the running and walking activities, as well as those who simply attend the festivities.

III. NON-MRC OFFERING: PFA
Some of our statewide affiliates are offering basic and advanced classes on Psychological First Aid, or PFA, at multiple sites across Massachusetts this season. Training is open for all levels of members. Medical volunteers are eligible for at least five hours of contining education credit. Although our local offering has already occurred, contact the sponsors for additional class dates in Boston, Burlington, and other locations. Check the flyer for information; do not register through the MRC.

IV. MARK YOUR CALENDAR: FALL FAIRS
It's not too early to start thinking about plans for a busy fall season. We're already signed up to support the following regional fairs, and will need at least two medical and two non-medical volunteers per 3-hour shift.
